About The Silent Signal
7 questions. 7 dimensions. One system-level read of how your team actually operates. Not how it looks on paper.
Silent Signal measures the operating system underneath your team: the patterns that don't show up in status updates or performance reviews, but that every senior leader eventually recognises when something starts slipping.
The 7 Dimensions
Strategic Alignment
Do people know what matters this quarter, or are they optimizing for different things?
Trust & Safety
Can people say the uncomfortable thing in the room, or does it come out later on Slack?
Ownership
When something slips, does anyone own it, or does it become a conversation about process?
Decision Making
Do decisions get made, or do they get discussed until someone loses interest?
Energy
Do people show up switched on, or is there a low-grade exhaustion that nobody mentions?
Outcomes
Does the team ship things that matter, or is it busy without being productive?
Feedback
Does the team actually talk about what’s not working, or do reviews come once a year?
Why 7 questions
One question per dimension. Long enough to surface the pattern. Short enough that people answer honestly instead of performing. Three minutes is the line between reflection and survey fatigue.
The output is a system-level read: your team's operating pattern, the tensions nobody talks about in meetings, and concrete moves you can test in the next two weeks.
What this is not
Not a performance review. Not a psychological assessment. Not a replacement for HR process. Not a tool for judging individuals.
The output is a system-level read. You decide what to do with it.
Who built it
Built by Ivan Karačić. 16 years inside technology organisations at Deutsche Telekom. 20+ facilitated team sessions. The diagnostic was built after watching the same failure pattern repeat: talented people inside systems that create friction nobody can name.
The root problem is rarely strategy. It's the execution system around it. This tool makes those dynamics visible before they harden into “this is just how things are here.”
Run it with your team
One person's signal is a data point. Your team's signal is a pattern. Each person answers independently and you see the aggregated picture: where you align and where the gaps live.
